I dropped off 5 shirts and 1 suit, which needed to be done in time to leave town to attend a funeral. Went to pick up my order and the suit is done, but they did not have the shirts. The shirts didn't make it back to the location for whatever reason. They offered our cleaning order for free and offered to pick up the cost of me buying a shirt for the funeral. I was initially impressed by that as they were trying to make it right, but I didn't feel right buying a shirt on their dime since my shirts weren't destroyed, just late.
Pretty fast cleaning. And their prices are some of the best around!!!
Awful experience. Let me start by saying I can't remember the last time I left a negative review about service anywhere. I know how hard it is to work in the service industry and run a business, so I have a high tolerance.
I went in to pick up the shirts once I got back in town, and surprise, surprise...the shirts are no longer free. They CHARGE me for the 5 shirts that they could not deliver on time. Their response: "Well, you got the suit for free. Sorry for the miscommunication." There was no miscommunication. No apology or regret expressed either. The sad part is that I could've bought a shirt (I chose not to in trying to be reasonble) and it would've cost much more than the total bill or their cost for pressing my 5 shirts. As it stands, I'll go out of my way to support a dry cleaner that values my business. Puritan will not get another dime from me.
